A Quick Guide to Speeding Up an HP Laptop

This article provides you with guidelines for improving the performance of your HP laptop. Before you begin, make sure your computer is properly maintained and cleaned. Ensure that any RAM or hard drive faults have been repaired. Slow systems are often responsible for problems.

If you want your HP laptop to run faster, you should follow the following steps.

1. Ample storage is essential

Your first priority should be the hard drive. If your computer doesn’t have enough space on your disk, it will have difficulty finding data. Because of this, searching these directories will take a long time for computers. The first thing you need to do is check that your hard drive has more available space.

If you are inconvenient with manually adding more hard drive space, use the PC cleaning software, which will do all the hard work for you without any hassle.

2. It is mandatory to use antivirus software

It is important that you check if your computer is infected with viruses or spyware next. Unless the environment on your laptop is clean, it will have difficulty finding the files it requires.

It is nearly impossible to avoid catching a virus at some point while browsing the internet, but Windows Defender can assist in detecting major issues caused by malware. In addition, third-party tools can uninstall spyware and viruses from a computer.

Performance issues can arise as a result of different quality and capacity of applications. It is best to use malware and spyware removal software that will do the scanning for you and remove the malware and spyware when it is found.

Two kinds of software are available for monitoring computer performance. Malware cleanup programs can fix performance problems such as pop-ups and slowdowns. You should also look for programs that provide ongoing protection in the background. Antiviruses that don’t occupy a lot of space will not slow you down.

Almost any budget or operating system can be accommodated by software that you find on the internet.

Before installing free software, make sure to check all the details, so you won’t run into additional problems.

3. Identify damaged files

It is a good idea to run a system file scan on your computer to detect any damaged or corrupt files. If any files on your PC are corrupt, your laptop will not be able to read them.

  • A CAB file can be activated through the start menu by right clicking on the icon.
  • This will open a brand new window.
  • To delete a system file, simply click the delete button.
  • It won’t be reverted if the changes are saved.

4. Instead of using a hard disk, use SSDs

The last thing you should consider when speeding up your HP laptop is upgrading its hard drive. As HDDs are no longer the standard storage method, SSDs (Solid State Drives) have now replaced them in the market. Compared to HDDs, SSDs are much faster. As a result, moving from HDDs to SSDs will improve performance significantly.

5. Defragment your system to optimize it

For the changes to take effect, you must restart your laptop after completing the above steps. If your laptop doesn’t completely boot up, it should load faster after doing this. If you have already defragmented your hard drive or SSD, use Aomei Partition Assistant Professional to do so again. You will get the greatest benefit from this tool when it defragments your computer, which is how it improves performance.

Make sure that you have removed all fragments of incomplete software packages during your defragmentation process. Cleaning your computer’s physical memory is possible with a program called Disk Defragmenter. You will have to put the program into its own folder.

Is your goal still not being met?

You might have to reinstall Windows even after following all the steps above. Original Windows will not have any problems and you will be able to get updates. We also recommend getting a PC cleaner to go along with this. Keeping your laptop clean of all junk files and caches will make it run faster.

With these tips, you can be sure that your computer/laptop will look and feel like a new one.
